My client asked for a portion of Camden sheds to be drawn to scale 7 standards in Templot, primarily to act as a backdrop to lots of locomotives.

This was the first drawing I received but, later got a much more useful one that I loaded into Templot as a background and drew in the templates over it.  Unfortunately, it does not scan well and so I cannot shew you what it looked like.  The result however, produced this plan.  It followed the original very closely and was probably as close to scale as it was possible to get given the constraints at the time.

The plan could easily be extended in the future were the space and money available to encompass the whole of the depot.

By no means the biggest or most difficult such project I have undertaken (Hitchin in EM was far, far larger) but an it was interesting and unusual project.  One day I hope to see some pictures of the finished layout.     Back to top
