This
proved to be an interesting little project. The plan was imported into
Templot and then the major lines set in place over it as closely as possible
while maintaining a good flow. Then the positions of the point blades were
identified by scaling from the plan and the size of turnout ascertained by
trial and error. The crossover was the most difficult. Once the basic plan
was drawn, a good deal of time was spent in producing turnouts with
interlaced sleepering. this required each one to be at least two partial
templates. Much timber shoving resulted from that but I think it captured
the spirit of the time.
